Please select an organisation of your choice. This may be your own
organisation, or one that you are familiar with. Note; all apprentices must use
their own organisation, in which to undertake this critical evaluation and do not
have the option to select another one with which you are familiar with).
Write a report to the CEO of your organisation, addressing the following areas
on strategic planning and ethical decision making. This is a secondary
research activity with primary research not required. However, you may use
your knowledge of the organisation in answering the questions below. Your
report should be structured as follows:

  1. Introduction. Set the scene for your report, explaining its importance to the
    organisation and what you are going to cover (250 words).
  2. Provide a critique of the current organisational and people strategies within
    the organisation. How has the organisation responded to current trends?
    What can they improve upon? (LOs 1 and 2) (500 words)
  3. How has the organisation managed change? Critically analyse at least two
    examples of strategies that have been employed and recommend potential
    improvements (LO3) (500 words).
  4. Provide a critique of how the organisation has employed corporate social
    responsibility, ethics, equality, diversity and inclusion and sustainable
    management practices within its strategy. What are the benefits of aligning
    these areas with organisational strategy and culture? Theory should be
    included in this response (LOs 4 and 5) (1000 words).
  5. Identify key ethical principles within the organisation and reflect on the
    importance of employing principle-led decision-making. Please use actual
    examples from the organisation to support your answer (LOs 6 and 7) (500
    words).
  6. Conclusion. Summarise the main points of your findings (250 words).
